How do I renew my plates in Regina?

You can renew your plates through the MySGI portal at mysgi.ca, by calling our Regina office at 306-757-0621, or by visiting us in person at 2101 Retallack St.

Do I really need a package policy?

Yes. SGI basic coverage only provides $200,000 in liability. If you are at fault in a major collision, especially involving multiple vehicles or injuries, $200,000 is rarely enough. A package policy increases this limit and lowers your deductible for a small annual fee.

What happens if I get a windshield chip?

If you only have basic SGI coverage, you must pay the full $700 deductible to replace a windshield. If you have an auto extension policy with reduced glass deductible, your cost could be as low as $50.

In Saskatchewan, when you register your vehicle and buy your license plates, you automatically receive basic auto insurance through the Saskatchewan Auto Fund.
